Justin Scalise is a Registered Rodenburg Teacher of Voice, Speech and Presence, certified to teach the work of world-renowned Master Teacher of Voice, Patsy Rodenburg, including her approaches to freeing and strengthening the Voice, and obtaining and developing Presence. Justin is also an accomplished actor and theatre artist, having performed on many stages throughout Austin and New Orleans for over twenty years. He is a recipient of Austin’s B. Iden Payne Award for Best Lead Actor, and a nominee for an international Falstaff Award for his performance of Hamlet in 2010, which he produced in Boggy Creek Cemetery. He is a graduate of New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, and the British American Dram Academy’s program at Oxford University. Justin is an Associate Teacher at Michael Howard Studios in New York, through the Patsy Rodenburg Center for Voice and Speech; he is also an Associate Actor and Teaching Artist with both Austin Shakespeare and The Hidden Room Theatre.
